IS AVATAR 2022 A GOOD MOVIE?
James Cameron plunges us into the depths of Pandora like never before, this time not only in its forests but also in its waters. After thirteen years of development and obviously visually detailed work, we can explore new corners and characters of this franchise, with a more spectacular result than the first installment, although slightly redundant.
The success of Avatar (2009) and its position as the highest-grossing film in history is mainly due to technological advances and visual innovation. In this sequel, Cameron hits again with its magnificent visual effects and raises the level of quality, taking advantage of the maximum potential of CGI.
THE FILM IS A MUST-WATCH FOR ALL SCIENCE FICTION FANS
Avatar: The Way of Water is a sensory and optical delight, due to its masterful technical composition, achieving, in my opinion, the best quality of visual effects in the history of cinema, not only in quality but also in quantity, a work of unparalleled merit that It is combined with the effective application of the acceleration of frames per second at precise moments.
The script is solid enough for what the film deserves, we cannot pretend that a more complex script is what this film needs, it is not the case, the narrative handled by The Godfather would not favor this product, in the same way, that the display of visual effects and action that Avatar manages would not favor the Godfather, a simple story is not synonymous with something negative, but there will always be people who without analyzing it much want to insist on expressing it that way. The characters and their interactions are fantastic, with a properly distributed role.
The small but present problems lie in the execution, for a duration that contributes efficiently to the plot development, but also momentarily gave me a feeling of saturation and redundancy during the second act, although the climax makes up for it with its impressive third act and resolution. . The action is huge, the direction is vibrant, it takes us deep into the scenery and the emotional charge it conveys complement a wonderful cinematographic experience.
